Middle burner ignitor sparking (by 5 users)

The middle burner started to spark when we were not even in the kitchen. Had to turn breaker off to get it to stop, this of course, means we are back to lighting burners with matches. Anyone??

Wife was cleaning top when ignitors started popping and small flames started to shoot out of front control knob followed by smell of sulfur or burning wires. Unplugged to stop all actions. WHATS WRONG???

All of mine were sparking as well then flames and sparks started shooting out of the side where the knobs turn the stove top on and off. Now what is wrong with it?????

All of my burner ignitors continue to spark. They stopped sparking when I unplugged the stove but start sparking as soon as the stove is plugged back.
