I have an old Janome No. 645019511. The machine sews at top speed without the foot pedal being pressed, The only way to stop is to switch it off. What do I have to do?
I have the same problem, i got lent an old singer. i was in the middle of sewing when i took the foot off the pedal it went mad, i unpluged it and sorted all the thread out, now every time i plug it in the motor goes full blast without foot on pedal, it not any of the switched, and i opened the pedal up and everything looks as it should, but then i dont even know how to work the thing really, so any help would be brill! xx
There is a clutch operated by foot pedal. if the clutch is continuously engaged then it will run own its own. so adjust clutch lever.
