Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

53 in HDTV with DVD player flat screen

The TV just shuts off and will turn back on on its own. I checked the sleep timer and it is off. It does not do this everytime but it will do it several times in a row sometimes 10 seconds later and then sometimes 10 minutes, There is no time frame when it clicks off for thr first time either.

we have Direct TV with DVR and the show keeps running while the TVshuts off.

My Sharp LE820 Aquos LED TV recently auto turn itself off, when I turn it back on, a few good 10 minutes or so later it automatic turn itself off again.

Please check that the sleep timer did not somehow get set. If it's not the sleep timer, check if the panel stays ON longer after it's been off for awhile to cool down. Possibly a heat problem with the power supply or main board.

When you turn the TV on the screen splits in two,

it sounds like one of your buffer boards are going bad. these are the boards that help put the picture on the screen. there are 2 boards an upper and a lower board. if you remove one and turn the tv on you will get half a screen. see then if you get the lines. please leave rating after you check.
