I have had a nokia for a few years, the sim card is older and has been used everyday until yesterday when I could not get a signal. I assumed it was the phone so borrowed a phone from somebody else and have the same problem. I cannot receive texts or phone calls nor can I make texts or phone out. Any ideas or do orange cut you off after the sim is a few years old. Thank You

This is an error that means your SIM most likely needs replacing. The error is in relation to the low profile of the SIM card which essentiallly makes it redundant in terms of sending SMS - probably due to its age and is usually experienced by pay as you go users that have kept the same SIM for years. People with this issue will most likely still be able to make calls but are not able to text. Call orange cjustomer services who can run this under a text messaging issue and send a replacament if necessary. Hope this helps :)
By contacting orange. or the company who you pay your bills to.
puk code, personal unlocking key. It is sim card related / specific, if
you take the sim card out from the phone, the phone will work with
another sim card.
The puk comes up when the pin code has been
entered wrong 3 times. To get the puk code for your sim card, you have
to call the service provider of that sim card. They are the only ones
who can provide you with the right puk code for that sim card.
The puk code may also have came with the documentation of the sim card, if its a prepaid card the puk code comes on the documents or on the box of the product.
if your unable to obtain the puk code, get a new sim card.
also entering the puk
code wrong too many times will eventually ruin the sim card forcing you
to buy or contact your service provider for a new sim card.
There are no puk code calculators or anything that we can do about it, you can buy premium assistance and you will get this same response. Theres no other solution.
You have to contact the phone service provider of that sim card or replace the sim card.
Yes. Just buy a pay as you go sim card and pop it in the phone but if you buy as sim from another network you may need to get the phone unlocked. What I mean is, if you are on Orange, for example, you will be able to use an Orange pay as you go sim but if the new sim is from T-Mobile you might need to get your phone unlocked
