Machine suddenly started not draining on any cycle.

Make sure the outlet hose is not obstructed and then test the outlet pump motor (in line with outlet hose.) The motor has 2 push on electrical connectors and the motor must spin in outlet mode. If the motor is not spinning it could be 1) the motor 2) the electronic swithing supply to the motor. Test the motor by determining if mains voltage is across the 2 terminals (motor open circuit or impeler in motor jamed or loose.) If no voltage across terminals it indicates an electronic switching problem (from the electonic / electrical circuit board) . The motor is easy to replace and can be obtained from all repair / 2nd hand shops...

Hi, my whirlpool ADG7560 dish washer does not have any water passing through the spray nozzels, they are all clean, could this be a pump problem? the machine is only 3 years old

Yes , if the pump under the spray arm is broken and not spinning with the motor it won't spray. Need a different model number for more help.
Dishwasher- Inside the doorjamb on the top, left or right. On the door edge top left or right. Portable models on the back.

Whirlpool Quiet Partner III will not drain

The drain pump motor is in line with the outlet pipe. First check if the outlet pipe is not blocked or obstructed. The motor can be tested by removing the 2 electrical push on connectors and connecting mains supply to the 2 terminals. If the motor spinns it indicates that the motor is OK and that the fault is then with the electronic switching circuit (not normaly a home repair). If the motor does not spin it indicates that the motor is open circuit and needs replacing. (easy job). You can also spin the motor small cooling fan by hand just to determine if it runs freely like it should and is not obstructed by dirt inside the water channel of the pump.

Model ADP4552 AA class , the water is coming into the dishwasher but the "blades" aren't turning

Contrary to a lot of people's beliefs the spray blades are not hooked up to anything. The high water pressure pushed out through the tubes propel them like a jet and then they spin. So that is your motor most likely with a broken winding that is shorting and the unit not sucking or pumping water. The motor needs to be replaced to pump the water. The fill of the water is simply an electric valve.

Dishwasher not draining water. Not 100% sure on exact model, can't find any number or ID marks. Definitely Frigidaire though.

the model number is or should be located on the right side of the.cabinet where the door opens.any how the problem could be a clog in the drain hose. you can remove the hose from the side of the garbage disposal.use a shop vac and try and drain the water that way if it does not drain then you could have a grease clog if there is grease clogging it use a blow dryer to heat the hose up and this should remove
the clog.if the water does come aut the you may have a bad drain pump and or a control board.

Model DU915PKO? dishwasher will not drain

The drain motor (pump out motor) in line with the outlet pipe could be faulty. This motor must spin (to pump out water) in the drain mode. If AC (mains)voltage is across motor in pumpout mode and the motor does not spin indicates that the motor is open circuit and needs replacing. Has one of the 2 motor push on electrical connections dislodged?
Is the outlet pipe obstructed?

Model kudsoiflwh6 dishwasher will not drain. pump motor is working

The pump motor has an impeler inside. Is the motor working AND the impeler spinning / turning?
Is there any obstruction in the outlet pipe?
Drain out is done via the pump out motor. Is the pump out motor working? Check by deternining with a AC voltmeter to see if supply voltage is across the terminals in pump out mode. If voltage is present and motor does not spin - the motor is open circuit and must be replaced. Remove the 2 clamps and the 2 electrical push on terminals with the MAINS voltage disconnected. Is the outlet pipe not blocked or obstructed ?

Kenmore model 110 dryer does not get hot. did not trip breaker

If the dryer runs, but does not heat, the following link explains how to troubleshoot an ELECTRIC dryer with a no heat problem:

First, begin by unplugging the dryer and verifying the voltage at the wall receptacle. You should read 220-240VAC across the two Hot terminals (left and right slots). If the voltage is incorrect, check to make sure you don't have a breaker tripped. Some homes use 2 separate 120VAC breakers to provide power to the receptacle vice using one 240VAC breaker.

If the voltage IS correct, leave the dryer unplugged and remove the cover plate on the terminal block in the back of the dryer (this is where the power cord is installed). Plug the dryer back in and take a voltage reading across the two hot (RED and BLACK) wires at the terminal block. You should read 220-240VAC. If the voltage is good, you have an internal heating problem. If the voltage is bad at the terminal block, but good at the receptacle, you have a bad power cord.

NOTE: If the wires at the terminal block are not color coded, the outer two wires (left and right) are the hot leads. The center conductor is neutral or ground.

The reason a dryer will still run if the input voltage is incorrect, is because the drive motor only uses a portion of the 220 service. The motor runs off 110-120VAC, while the heating circuits require 220-240VAC. So, if you are missing 1/2 your input voltage due to a tripped breaker or bad power cord, your dryer may exhibit these symptoms.

If you determine the problem to be internal, the heating circuits will either be located in the rear of the dryer on the right hand, or under the dryer drum on the right hand side. Usually, an easy way to determine is by the location of the lint screen filter. If the filter is on top of the dryer, the heating circuits are in the back of the dryer. If the lint screen is in the door, the heating circuits are located under the dryer drum.

All dryers are not constructed the same. However, the Heating Element is located inside a heater box. The Thermal Cut-Out (TCO) will be located on the outside of the heater box on the end opposite the heating element terminals. The Hi-Limit Thermostat will be located adjacent to the heating element terminals.

If either the TCO or Hi-Limit Thermostat are determined to be bad, replace BOTH components at the same time. That is why these components are commonly sold as a set. Failure to do so may result in premature failure of any parts you replace.

Replacement parts can be found at,,, or The average cost of these components varies, so shop around for the best price.

The heating circuitry is usually located under the "Bulkhead Parts" section.

If you have any questions, or require additional assistance, please post back with your complete model number (usually located on a nameplate around the door opening) so that I may be able to provide you with better assistance. "110" is the manufacturer code that identifies this dryer as made by Whirlpool. I hope you find this helpful.

The dishwasher is only 3 years old and the motor went. Any suggestions?

Replacing a motor is reasonably easy. One has to know basics of electrical safety though.
The motor can be bought on ebay.
Make sure it is a motor, not other things, fuses, control parts etc.
Disconnect the dishwasher before any electrical works.
I would open the dishwasher, take out protective plastic covers at the botom (they are typically removed with a flat screw driver), unscrew the motor, find out which Cat. number it is, order one on ebay,
put it back, you are done. The worst thing is that it all takes crawling on the knees for a while.

If you can not do electrical works, post an ad on, help wanted with location and price of the work.
