Question about Sharp 17" Monitor
I bought a thin computer monitor for my mom to use with the kyocera kc100 viewer, but I can't get the monitor to recognize the s-video signal - so the monitor stays in sleep mode. We were really hopeing to go with the thin monitor because she really does not have the room for a tv screen beside the viewer. I tried everything to get the monitor to get out of sleep mode - and there were no options on the monitor set up screen.
Can I apply a voltage signal to the monitor by patching into the vga/s-video adapter wire and use a low volt power supply to get the blasted monitor out of sleep mode? or do we need to buy a tv to make this work?
any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
I'm confused as to how you're connecting this with s-video. Are you using an RGB / s-video adapter?
What is the exact monitor brand / model?
