Same as above. How do you fix the door? Will not close completely because the spring seems to be sprung. Can't use the oven.

The doors are so heavy the hinges are underr a lot of strain. For the price, Viking should design hinges that could never, ever go bad.

Fan stays on long after oven is shut off in brand new viking daul fuel range. It's been on now for 45 minutes. All controls are on OFF.

loads of ovens do this. It's a pain, especially if you eat in the kitchen. If you switch the appliance off and on at the wall it usually stops it. Why the fan stays on, god knows. pointless.

I have a Viking VGSC366 6B all gas range. The oven keeps shutting off when I'm baking somethimes for a long time. Sometimes i can turn it off and back on again but sometimes it won't come right back on....

When the oven igniter(s) get too old, they don't pass enough current to the gas valve to either open it or keep it open. If that's the case, they need replacement. They may still glow but they're no longer operating properly

Replacing PB010036 Bake / Broil Thermostat Viking

you do not need to take apart any switches, all you need - unplug it from power, open front panel (2 screw on each side) remove all knobs, there is 3 more screws behind them). unscrew thermostat 2 screws behind knob. open top part of stove, remove grates and cover. you will see wires to thermostat unplug them and plug one by one to new thermostat. remove old thermostat from inside the oven (it has bracket inside). put the new one. close everything back.

One of the door hinges was loose. You have to lift the door by the handle to open it.

Remove the center grill of the top grill and shut the power off and back on, the lights should reset

When the lights are working open the Ref door then close the freezer drawer, watching to see if the light in the freezer shuts off. It should shut off when the freezer is about 1" from closing. If it stays on until the door is fully closed then there is a problem with the light switch in the freezer.

Normally when you leave the doors open until the lights shut off, it should reset when both doors are closed

The door can be removed from the hinge assembly by lifting upwards and outwards while the door is only slightly open - no hardware needs to be removed to get the door off. My door VGIC366 hinges did the same thing a few years ago, and simply cleaning them fixed the problem entirely.

Oven door hinge adjustment...?

Regarding the oven door not closing all the way and dropping suddernly to the floor, I called a local authorized service company and asked if there was a door spring (no). So the recommended solution is to have the hinges replaced. However, since the oven door didn't really hold its open position from the beginning, when it was brand new back in 01, I'm going to see if a new Viking oven has the same defect as ours. Then, it would seem like a good idea to take a chance on having it repaired.

Is replacing a set of oven door hinges something a person with reasonable mechanical aptitude can do?
