Re: color is off...shows blue

If you're having an issue with the color of the pictures, you could the steps below:

- Turn off camera
- Remove batteries for a minute
- Reload batteries
- Turn on camera

- Be in AUTO mode
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
- Scroll down until you see RESET
- Press the right button to pick up on YES or NO
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved

Turn off camera after the settings
have been changed to refresh the camera.

Hope this one works.

Sometimes when i turn on my nikon p100 it shows a green and red/orange colors and is divided into 2 screens at once...or other times it turns on and the screen is a grayish blue... and other times it turns...

Did it ever get really cold? The screens are REALLY delicate and extreme temps can do that to them. You might have to send it in fro repair. Check w/Wolf camera for more info...

Check the color/light settings on your camera, and reset it to auto to get it back to normal. Changing this setting to tungsten or fluorescent forces your color to shift, but is clearly not what you want at this point.

Can't get normal color in video mode.

We just solved this problem! Rotate the wheel button (above the Display & Menu buttons) to see the various option (Color Accent, Color Swap, Compact, etc.) and stop when you get to Standard.

Distorted color on image

You might have "color filter" settings. Turn the digital filters off. Here is what manual at p72 says. "You can take pictures using digital filters. The filters consist of color filters such as red, blue and green, a soft filter that produces a fuzzy effect. Color filters Eight colors, black-and-white, sepia, red, pink, violet, blue, green and yellow, are provided for the color filters. When you select a color filter in the Digital Filter mode, the display on the LCD monitor is filtered with the selected color, and the pictures are taken in that color."

Saturation of unrealistic color

It is definite CCD chip problem. If you are within warranty period, send it back quick. They probably replace with other unit because the parts are not available for the product. Good luck.
