Question about Kenmore 44102 Front Load Washer

Kenmore front loader keeps filling water in drum and will not stop

Do these washers have a water level sensor? my basement floor was flooded after i put a load in this morning and i noticed that the dial had not moved past 'short' with respect to dialing in the length of the cycle. i put another load in and sat and watched the machine and it kept filling the water to a level above the top of the window on the front. i stopped it and tried to nudge the dial to where the drum would begin to agitate but it would not, i eventually spun the water out. it seems as if there is a water level sensor that is not functioning properly.

any suggestions?

Plug off the wall. Open up behind, you will find a thin tube going from the pump area to the control point. This is the water level tube; untie this tube from above & blow into it, it should be free, if not free remove the blockage, see that it is not twisted, insert carefully. Or replace. This shd fix your water level problem.

Where is the reset button for a kenmore 80 washer wont stop filling water level

If this is a top loader then the vacuum line has come off of the dashpot or the water level switch is broken. UNPLUG the power-Standing in front of the washer, pry off the plastic trim strips on the left and right of the dash (control panel) Now you'll see a screw at the bottom where the strips mounted, remove ans KEEP the screws, now the dash will lift up and fold back, giving access to the parts.

Water didn't shut off

There is a part called a air-dome that is connected to the lower section of your outer drum. The part where you put your clothes in is called the inner drum. The air-dome has a small tube connected to it which travels up the drum to a level sensor in the control panel that turns off the water when the washer is full to the point water level is set. This is usually on top loaders.

F21 code on kenmore he2 plus

Clean the filter in the pump behind the bottom panel, but remember it's full of water,If it's on a pedestal you can take the pump loose from the mounting pull it out a little and put a small pail or bucket under it before you open the trap.if it isn't on a pedestal it's a bit more challenging unless your in a basement with a floor drain. Open it very slowly and let the water drain a little at a time don't take it all the way out or you'll be in for a flood....good luck

Wo'nt stop filling with water and overflows.

If it fills with water while the machine is off replace the water inlet valve.
It is only overfills while machine is on, check the water level switch and the plastic tube going to the water level switch. The tube may be pinched or have a hole it it.

Water Overflow

hi there,

i would recommend checking the water level switch or lid switch and also the cable leading to it. that is what sends a signal to the machine control to stop filling with water.

Kenmore 2.1 cu. ft Washer water won't stop filing, cycle doesn't start...

most likely cause
kenmore pressure sensors work off a tube that runs from the bottom of the drum to the sensor, either the tube has come off the sensor body inside the control panel
  • open control panel reattach tube, wrap wiretie or twisttie to keep in plpace
or less likely cause
kenmore level sensors fail
there is a spring inside that stretches over time and mis reads, it is adjustable
  • control panel is still open from previous check
  • remove level selector from control panel, usually an unlock latch on the right side, rotate 45deg counter clockwise withdraw.
  • there is a 1/8 inch bolt head, turn right raise water level, turl left lower water level

My kenmore top load washer wont stop flooded the house

Continious filling is usually 1 of 3 problems. 1 - a bad water level switch. or 2 - a bad water valve or 3 - your drain hose is pushed too far down into the wall (it should only go in about 6 " so it doesn't siphon the water right back out). The easiest way to tell which it is is to start filling the washer and then unplug it. If the water continous to flow, bad valve. If it stops a bad water level switch. Kenmore have 3 main ways to get to the water level switch. 1 - there are 2 plastic caps on either end on the front of the console (the parts where all the knobs and dials are) Pop these off and there are 2 phillips screws underneath. 2 - On the back of the console where it meets the top of the machine are 2 phillips screws. 3 - there are 2 clips under the console. Insert a putty knife between the console and the top of the washer in the front to pop the clips.
