Question about Kenmore 44102 Front Load Washer

Kenmore front loader keeps filling water in drum and will not stop

Do these washers have a water level sensor? my basement floor was flooded after i put a load in this morning and i noticed that the dial had not moved past 'short' with respect to dialing in the length of the cycle. i put another load in and sat and watched the machine and it kept filling the water to a level above the top of the window on the front. i stopped it and tried to nudge the dial to where the drum would begin to agitate but it would not, i eventually spun the water out. it seems as if there is a water level sensor that is not functioning properly.

any suggestions?

thanks.

the tube was OK, so i replaced the water level sensor. the water shuts off but now it seems that it may not be putting enough water into the washer. how much water should be in the washer during the wash cycle? i put my hand in there in the middle of the wash cycle and it was maybe 1 inch deep in the bottom of the drum. i guess i never paid much attention to how much water was in there before it malfunctioned so now i have no reference.

when you replace the water level sensor, is there any kind of calibration that you need to do on it? any ideas to what would be causing the pressure switch to shut off before enough water is in the drum?

Plug off the wall. Open up behind, you will find a thin tube going from the pump area to the control point. This is the water level tube; untie this tube from above & blow into it, it should be free, if not free remove the blockage, see that it is not twisted, insert carefully. Or replace. This shd fix your water level problem.

My Kenmore Washer 110.92597200 will not stop filling which causes water to overflow drum onto floor. It does not seem to respond to Water Level setting.

top loader machines have a small tube running up to the sensor that fills with water and affects the level settings
check that it is not a problem with the inlet solenoid not shutting of the water
call a service technician

Where is the reset button for a kenmore 80 washer wont stop filling water level

If this is a top loader then the vacuum line has come off of the dashpot or the water level switch is broken. UNPLUG the power-Standing in front of the washer, pry off the plastic trim strips on the left and right of the dash (control panel) Now you'll see a screw at the bottom where the strips mounted, remove ans KEEP the screws, now the dash will lift up and fold back, giving access to the parts.

F21 code on kenmore he2 plus

Clean the filter in the pump behind the bottom panel, but remember it's full of water,If it's on a pedestal you can take the pump loose from the mounting pull it out a little and put a small pail or bucket under it before you open the trap.if it isn't on a pedestal it's a bit more challenging unless your in a basement with a floor drain. Open it very slowly and let the water drain a little at a time don't take it all the way out or you'll be in for a flood....good luck

Wo'nt stop filling with water and overflows.

If it fills with water while the machine is off replace the water inlet valve.
It is only overfills while machine is on, check the water level switch and the plastic tube going to the water level switch. The tube may be pinched or have a hole it it.

My kenmore top load washer wont stop filling....it flooded the house

Continious filling is usually 1 of 3 problems. 1 - a bad water level switch. or 2 - a bad water valve or 3 - your drain hose is pushed too far down into the wall (it should only go in about 6 " so it doesn't siphon the water right back out). The easiest way to tell which it is is to start filling the washer and then unplug it. If the water continous to flow, bad valve. If it stops a bad water level switch. Kenmore have 3 main ways to get to the water level switch. 1 - there are 2 plastic caps on either end on the front of the console (the parts where all the knobs and dials are) Pop these off and there are 2 phillips screws underneath. 2 - On the back of the console where it meets the top of the machine are 2 phillips screws. 3 - there are 2 clips under the console. Insert a putty knife between the console and the top of the washer in the front to pop the clips.
