Check it in other computers. If it works welll then you have install driver in your system. Although now a days drivers comes automatically installed, sometimes it causes problem. Or you can go to sandisk site and get the driver.

Sandisk cruzer 8gb suddenly not recognized when connected to my computer

1. Try the other USB slots to see it the board is ok. Most modern pcs have two slots in the front and two to four slots in the back, try them all.

2. Do you have another pc that you can plug it into? If it works on that one you may have driver problem or the board is bad on the other one.

3. Have you tried to plug other USB devices into the slot(s) to see if the port is ok?

I have the same one and have had to mess it sometimes. Have to right clicked the "Safely Remove Hardware" in the right corner of the task bar. Right click and then left click the Safely Remove Hardware. That will show you all USB devices loaded. If you see the Flash Drive, click it and when you see the next prompt to remove it wait a few seconds and then plug it back in. If that does not work, reboot and leave the Flash Drive plugged in and see if it loads when the pc fully is loaded.

4. Goto the Control Panel> System > Hardware > Device Manager. Look for your drive in the list of Disk Drives. Pick it and then pick the Action Menu and Scan for hardware changes. If the Flash Drive is working properly you should not see any errors. You should also be able to see the drive in explorer.

5. If you still do not see the Flash Drive in explorer but you do see it in Device Manager, right click it in Device Manger and unstall it and reboot and let windows search and reinstall the device drives.

Good luck and post back.

I don't know what your computer is...but you can try updating/rolling back the USB driver iteself (not the driver for the plug and play flash drive,, which installs automatically when you plug it in) A program which I really like for finding driver updates is can download it, and on the free version you can download and install 2 drivers a day, or you can buy it for different time periods. I used to get the $10/30 day license to update all my drivers, but I like it so much I just paid to register it a couple years. ( I use it for my business) If you have done a recent update which updated the driver, you can try rolling it back to the previous version, or if not, you can try updating, or even just reinstalling the current driver. Since you didn't list any hardware, I can't direct you to one, But Drivermax will find it for you.

Not a hardware problem. Either the game was badly installed - the security software on your computer has most likely blocked the DRM from your disk - or the disk is worn out and the new optical unit can't pick it up - use the older one..

I cannot have access to my FireLite Model #USBFLB40 .I get error

Try updating Windows first.
Next update your drivers for the device from the company website.
Restart your computer without the device plugged in.
After all is loaded, try plugging it in again and see if Windows will pick it up.

Hopefully this will help.

I have never used one but have one. Where do I

Hi bojo219

Are you referring to a flash drive? There are many different types of removable media devices. If you are, then most flash drives come with USB ports to connect to computers. You will need to locate the USB port on your computer and insert the flash drive into that port. Depending on your operating system, it will usually detect that you've added new hardware and the Operating system will try and configure it and load the driver. If it's brand new, sometimes the drives come with a CD that would have the driver on it, it the operating system can't find one.

If it's some other type of removable media, you'll have to post what it is.

Good Luck,
