Question about Samsung TXM2796HF 27" TV
The TV works great and has great picture and sound until about 45 minutes to 1 hour of being on and then it turns off and won't mturn back on until after it "cools down". It seems that something is overheating and shutting it down. I took the back off and made sure there was no dust build up on the inside. This made no difference. What is overheating and causing it to shut down?

SOURCE: Samsung DLP TV shuts off
I had the same problem and stumbled on the fix. It seems there is a factory defect. Open the lamp cover and you will probobly notice that the blue shut off switch on the left side is landing on top od the lamp cover. Reach down with a pencil or something and make sure the switch is under the tab on the lamp cover. My 50 DLP has not shut down since I set the switch properly. Free fix... try it.

It is the color wheel, inside the light engine. The bearings get dirty and makes it harder for the wheel to spin causing that whin.
