Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3i Cellular Phone

1 Answer

How do I find and change the flex cable (patta) on the RAZR v3i?

My keypad isn't working COMPLETELY. I can turn the phone on and thats all I can do. I need to take the battery out so that my phone can turn off.

I read a solution to a similar problem as mine and they said that the flex cable should be changed. Does this mean the same fate for my phone? How do I find a flex cable and change it?

Motorola razr screens (small & main) are black and keypad will not light up. Phone still works though.

Hi,What causes the phone the screen of the phone to go black and the keypad light not coming on, is because the flex of the phone that is connected to the screen and allows the keypad to function is bad and will need to be replaced .When you replace the flex, the phone will work properly again.

The keypad is not work.

Go to a technician and ask them to replace the connector or your keypad or the flex in your keypad. if those can't be done, try buying a new phone.

The flip top the razr completely broke off.

yes, Depeding on where you are, its probabely cheaper at a repair store than sending back to Motorola for repair. You probably need at least 3 parts. The bottom honged part that holds the keypad. Plus the main flex cable and the chrome hinge. However If you are not experined with this, it will be kind of hard for you to repair

Screen won't turn on

It's very possible that your phone's flex cable is either broken or disconnected from the screen. The flex cable would have to be replaced or reconnected. The reconnection is not too bad but replacing the flex cable is a way bit tedious.I'll choose the first option to see if this works. You'll have to take this to a qualified phone repair shop. These phones are very technical to work on even for someone who knows about them. SAM !
