I have a Bell & Howell 797 slide projector and when I turn it on the light doesnt come on. Need to change bulb but not sure how to release the old bulb to change. The projector has been in my mothers attic for years and would like to view the old slides.
Havent found the manual yet but everything else is in the original box.
Thanks
Janet

No! They are no longer made due to the computer generation and slide presentations are usually made with laptops now. You should be able to find one good used one on eBay if interested find your model # of projector and look it up on ebay. They are usually in good condition but make sure lamp works on the one you are buying as these are expensive to replace. Rich
Chances are that if everything else seems fine and is coming on then most likely you have a bad bulb or it could be loose, make sure its fitted into the bulb holder assy good and snug, dont force it or you will break it at the base.Go to google and google your model number for the bell and howell projector and find out whats available and pricing.A middle of the road or average bulb should be suffice for what your doing.
