I have PVP E320, The problem with the device is that the GPS doesn't work now(after 1yr). It has a external GPS card (Holux), normally if the GPS port is detected the lead light keeps blinking. These days the light is always solid red and also when I activate GPS, the word 'GPS' doesn't turn green from Red, thus no GPS system is working, I did a GPS diagnosis provided within system, it also says no GPS is detected.

It is possible that the (internal or external SD card) storage holding the map data(base) and/or the navigation software is corrupted.
Have you tried running a (fix) disk utility against your (internal or external) storage disk for the GPS ?
For instance, connect the GPS to your PC (Windows), and select (highlight) the (internal) "disk" on the GPS device. Under File - Properties, go to the Tools (tab) and run the "Error-Checking" option.
Running this (Windows) utility may fix your data error.
If not, consider doing a restore (from backup) of your GPS disk storage.
Turn it off and on again. If this doesn't do it, do the following. Disconnect the unit from external power. Flip up the antenna and press the RESET button. Connect the unit to the external power source. The unit should turn on and operate normally. The above is from page 34 of the manual.
mine did that aswell.checked out n tried solutions on this n other sites with no luck.i eventually just opened it to check the battery(unit 1yr old).batt was fine.when i put it all back together it works fine.assume that disconnecting battery is the mysterious reset button.hope this helps
hi, looks to me if you have no sats recveived.
try to go online with tomtomhome program an download the latest quickgpsfix file.
also try if it works better when you are outside.
a heat protective coating can disturb the antenna, then you will need an external antenna.
good luck and if its still not working proper, you can always ask for more options.
Have you tried charging this through other sources such as a usb or ac charger (please ensure the unit is off when attached to power to enter charge mode) as it may be the cable itself faulty, if it still doesn;t hold charge then the unit is faulty and should be returned to your local store
Check to see from the manufacturer if there is a firmware update that may enable you to use SDHC cards. If there isn't you might be out of luck. The cameras that take SD cards are sometimes older and not able to be upgraded to take SDHC cards.
