Question about Nokia N95 Cellular Phone

Home wifi sucking battery

Hi Gurus,

i configured my N95 with the latest firmware in order to use VOIP functionnality over my Home wifi system. After that, i noticed that my battery is emptying within a few hours whereas before it was lasting 3 days...

So now, i decided to restore factory setting to solve the problem.

In my experience, wifi, bluetooth etc..are a lot of functionnalities that sucks barretry.

So i bought a regular home phone to enjoy of my xDSL technology.

Any suggestions or advice regarding the battery life ?

Here are some tuning that i already did:

Thanks Gurus !

Re: Home wifi sucking battery

The Nokia BL-5F battery is not all that good, there's no substitute.
If you're online for long periods of time have a spare battery or two at the ready.

Since upgrading my N95 8GB firmware from 11.* to the latest 30.* I am unable to establish a WIFI connection. It will find WIFI spots and prompt me to enter the key but doesn't get any further. This affects...

I have a work-around for my home wifi router by assigning a static IP, subnet and DNS gateway. Found this solution on a blog. Of course, it won't help me connect to other WIFI points using dhcp but I can live with this for the moment.

Try formatting your phone. Turn it off. Then hold the following keys WHILE it's turning back on: (3 + * + green call key). Don't let go till it asks you about your location. Be aware that it will delete everything saved in your phone memory. Let me know how it goes. :)
