I've never had this TV but from what I can find on the internet the power connector is either at mid bottom or mid top of the backside. As for the cable it should be shaped like an 8 with one half more box shape. My TV's power connecter is on the very bottom. Wish I could help you more, but without seeing this model this is all I am able to say. Good Luck.

HI, You can use it as TV through Monitor device (also known as cable device) and are very commen in market also in cheap prices, which specifically designs for monitors, just plug you monitor with the device and plug your antenna with the device and enjoy it. Thanks for using fixya.
I had the same problem connecting the monitor to my Philips DVD player. After a couple days trying to determine if the monitor or cable was bad, I went to the Philips user manual and found that the Video Output setting had to be specifically changed to YPbPr/Component (which I needed). Apparently the player sends the signal in only one format at a time. Hope this helps.
Dish no longer supports these monitors but you can contact Prima World Wide (PWW) between the hours of 9:00 am and 9:00 pm EST at their toll free number 1-888-267-5004 for warranty or out of warranty service and they may be able to assist you in acquiring the external power supply needed.I wish I could be of more help but want to thank you for using Fix Ya.If I can assist you in anyway please let me know.
You need to have the box that slides into the monitor at back on the right side to make it into a tv. The box has Connections for AV2, AV1 and for the aerial. You should be able to turn it on with the button at the top on the right hand side. If you have no picture, then click the left button on the top marked TV>AV>PC.
You probably need to tell your laptop to detect the second monitor, or somehow activate the video out function. How these things are done depends on your specific laptop model. Try looking in the user manual or on Dell's website page for your specific model of laptop.
