Re: poor picture

How old your tv? Sometime weak or poor picture depend to the old of tv, or maybe some parts inside need to replace.

Seems to me you should have to contact a technician to adjust manually the circuit side of it. Usually the screen and focus control knob on the flyback to adjust the settings.

Poor picture and color quality

Maybe the tube needs degaussed? Was there a magnet next to it? A degausser will fix that.

Poor picture quality on Ilo 46'' television

Do you have cable or satellite? Disconnect them and if you currently have free over the air TV and the same problem occurs with these channels, then there's something wrong with the TV. If the problem only occurs on channels with sat or cable connection, then there may be a faulty cable somewhere that can easily be replaced.

If the problem occurs with free channels, one solution (although a long one) would be to unplug your TV completely for about a week, this will reset the TV settings

Apex pf3225 picture is to wide for the screen

I was able to get a good picture by doing the following. Using your PF 2025-3225 remote:
Press the volume to zero
Pressmute on the remote and hold (tv should say mute)
hold the menu buttuon on the tv

There are 10 menus as you press the arrow buttons, go to the first with anything "H". you will use the "e/wide" and "H" item also Trapzium and the parabolic setting and slowly use these until you get the desired quality.

The go to the "V" menu and adjust carefully until you get the desired quality. Do not adjust anything that is already set to 1 or 0, If you do and you get a blank or lined acreen just press the opposite arrow and it should go back to your picture.
Power off and on after you see a good picture.

You could use your cable guide or DTV Playlist as your picture as they have alot of items in the corners. that is how I did it, it worked for now.

Diagonal lines and ghost images

You may have a bad flyback transformer (high voltage trans former). The lines you're seeing are retrace lines caused by the picture tube screen set too high. This is often caused by the screen control opening up. This control is part of the flyback.

Power but no sound or picture alot of the time

the fault you are describing sounds like what we in the trade call dry joints, basically where components are soldered into the circuit boards in manufacturing, the joints become brittle and crack thus forming a poor connection which can vary with heat. well worth repair may need a couple of electrolytics aswell but i could do the job myself safely for under £100.
