Yes I have a ps3 controller and when I play Live on call of duty 4 when I want my man to run fast he wont sometime it works but other times he wont run when I push it can this problem be fix

I have a similar problem nothing to do with tiredness it is like a lack of response from the up direction on the left stick, sometimes when held part diagonally it works, anyone got a fix as just outside its years warrenty, I fear it is dead, good job I bought two when I got it ay!

You need to sync your controller with the ps3, put the USB dongle into one of the available slots on the ps3 - exactly where you would normally connect a wired controller on the front. Now switch on your ps3, the dongle will connect, now put your USB cable into the black ops controller and switch on - your 4 lights should be flashing on the controller. Now press connect on the USB dongle, your controller should now sync to the ps3 and hopefully will show as controller No 1. Remove the USB cable and play wireless.
Some games will do this if you are holding the control-stick any direction while starting the system.
Next time you play it, try holding the stick just slightly in the opposite direction to compensate as you start the system, or unplug the controller-hold the stick down, then plug back in ( while playing )
If that doesn't work, it might be time for a new controller. Or you could open it ( disconnect first ) and check around the stick for anything that might be pushing it up.
