Question about Nintendo DS Console

DS not turning on or charging

I have an original style DS and it will not turn on or charge. When I first put the charger to the port the orange light turns on for a second then cuts off. At first I thought it was the battery so I replaced the battery, but it does the same thing. Is there anything that can be done or should I sell it for parts?

You can try buying another battery, or by buying a charging station that could just charge your battery (incase its the charger port on the ds thats broken).

My ds lite won't charge.. the orange light appeared blinked

We had this problem with a brand new DS Lite...turns out it was a bad charger. If you have access to another charger, try that first. Good luck!

DS is stuck in charge mode when plugged in.

Your DS may have a problem reading the battery gauge, and the DS will only let the charger do its thing for a period of time. Then, if it is still connected, it may burst more charge in. This means that your DS is acting up, and your battery may have a rare (and not harmful to the DS) malfunction.

I put the charger in the orange light turns on and I turn on the game and it's still on red after it's still charging for a while

I would say leave it charging for 5 hours tops! if it's still red something is wrong with your DS!

Your DS is either fully charged or the battery got damaged/wet. When you play the DS, is the light red or flash red? If it does, then the problem is with your battery.
Click on your country, then "System and Game Problems," then "Power and Battery Charging Problems."
Hope this helped.

Charge light orang on for a second and turn off unit not charged.

This kind of problem is usually caused by either of this 3 things: Either the problem is the battery not being able to charge anymore(bettery would need to be replaced), or the charger does not give any charge to the batter(recommend try another charger), or last would be the console charger port( would need to replace console, or repair charger por,not recommended)

What is the orange charging light doing? If it is just flashing on, or only staying on or a minuet, that means you need a new battery. The orange light foes on when the battery has been charged to its maximum capacity. After each charge, the capacity is decreased. So if the orange light is on for only a short time, get a new battery.

My DS will only play when plugged in

You have a loose fuse on your circuit board, or your charger port needs to be replaced.
