Sheri, This says that you have an electric dryer and that it fails to create hot air. It can be 2 issues. (1) the electric heating coil (behind a panel in the lower back of the dryer) has broken and must be replaced or (2) the air duct work inside the dryer is clogged and the heated air is unable to pass through the dryer.

If you are sure that air is flowing, the it is the coil and to replace it, remove the panel screw and locate the 2 mounting screws for the heating coil. Remove it and take it to your local appliance parts place and ask for another. Insert that, connect and fasten as the original and you should be of and running

Iron leaks water while I am ironing, why?

You are probably not holding the iron the right way! Don’t hold the iron upside down, or don’t put too much water in at a time. Make sure that the heat on iron is turned up hot enough to burn the water fast enough so it doesn’t leak.

The heating is intermittent on my vw passat 1999 1.9 tdi. I think it is a relay but don't know which one (only fuses are listed in the handbook and not relays). When heating is turned on it doesn't...

Probably not, make sure you get all the air out of the cooling system, which is called "bleeding". Too much air and no heat. This link might help...http://www.passatworld.com/forums/42-volkswagen-passat-b5-discussion/276774-timing-belt-cahnge.html

My honda repsol red light comes on and the heat gauge go's 132 what could be the problem

Empty coolant tank. Don't run it until the coolant level is checked and at the correct level. If this doesn't fix it you could have a failed coolant pump.

My pool heater doesn't come on. The pilot is lit, and the valve to the ON position. I turn the front knub to heat but when I turn the switch on the front panel to ON it doesn't fire on (...

If your pilot light is lit, then you do have some gas flow, so it is probably the thermocoupler (the part heated by the pilot light) that is not telling the gas valve to open the main line. Sometimes it is just a case of residue on the thermocoupler that is not letting it get up to temperature and sometimes it has been knocked out of alignment and the pilot light is not putting direct heat on it.

A cleaning with steel wool (don't overdo it) would take care of the residue, and you can GENTLY move the thermocoupler back over the pilot flame. If neither of that helps then replace the thermocoupler.

Fan will not come on and makes a humming noise.

I'll assume you don't have electric meters. I'd first try it in heat mode if the blower runs. I'd guess the blower relay or the high speed winding is burnt out. If it doesn't run in heat mode most likely the motor is bad.

Just had both o2 sensors replaced and now the truck won't shift from 2nd to 3rd gear. Evidently it had been slipping a bit before but now it won't shift into 3rd at all. The tranny is an E4OD......

O2 Sensors --- not related to shifting

New transmissions --- are only new once
When installed on the assy line

Has to be rebuilt if necessary

PO 147 ---O2 Sensor Heater (Bank 1 Sensor 3) don't have one of those
PO714 -- Trans Temp Sensor -heat for the slipping
PO 471 --- Exhaust Pressure Sensor -don't have that either

Need a new guy
Not very professional were they
