Jenn-Aire locked tight!

Most likely you set a child lock (front panel lock) by holding a button too long (3 seconds). Without a model number, I can't be absolutely sure of the keypad lock for your Jenn-Aire microwave. Usually, the key will have a small padlock icon on it. Press and hold this key. On my microwave you press and hold Start to toggle the lock off.

On a Jenn-Aire JMW2430 and similar models, the Button Lock is activated by a several step process (More and Button Lock). However, pressing and holding the Start button will deactivate it.

Hi.

The appliance door is probably locked in consequence of the self cleaning cycle.

Unplug power cord, and allow the oven cooling down for few hours.

If the is still locked, then the high temperature generated in self cleaning cycle may have damaged the door latch, or the electronic control.

Parts must be tested to discover the fault.

Call Frigidaire at the number listed on the owners manual.

the self clean cycle will run for 2-3 hrs and the door will remain locked for another couple hrs while cooling let it finish and wait till the next day basically if it still wont open (sorta common) the door lock assy needs replacing.

After the lock indicator light goes out, move the door lock lever to the left. The oven door can now be opened. Turn the selector and temperature knobs from clean to off AFTER THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED. If the temperature knob is turned to off BEFORE the door is unlocked, the door will not open. Forcing the lock will damage the lock mechanism. If this should happen, return the temperature knob back to CLEAN, unlock the door, THEN turn the temperature knob off. The LOCK INDICATOR light must be OFF. This can take up to one hour!!!

Do NOT force the door.

Leave the SELECTION and TEMPERATURE knob alone. The Temperature knob MUST be set to CLEAN

Indicator Light OFF, knobs set to CLEAN - OPEN the slide lever.

Lever open, set the knobs to OFF and away you go

The clock is a very common problem the only way you can fix the LED display and it also controls the oven...replace the clock
