MOMO's are notorious for the potentiometers going bad. There used to be a place that sold replacements, check I think the top kit is for momo black, and the bottom one for momo red. I think they were zero balance when I checked.

as a last resort, take the information for the digikey potiometers to Radioshack and see if they can order you some.

The throttle is stuck open on my Saitek 3D Pro, how can I fix it? Multiple calibrations thru FSX have proved unsuccesfull. It's hard to finish a landing with it open

You need to completely remove the calibration you have done. uninstall the driver, reboot and then connect stick back up. Follow on-screen prompts for the driver disk and reinstall. Check there are no conflicts in the sticks own software once installed, then calibrate it.

If still no go, then the stick is faulty.

When I try to play a game (Call Of Duty WaW), it won't let me look up, and makes me spin around. I thought it maybe was the Look Inversion in the options, so I changed it, but then it only let me look to...

If you spin around that means the right stick is being pressed in a direction without you even touching it because of loss of calibration. There are some calibration utilities online but for the start you can let Windows calibrate your gamepad.

Open control panel -> classic view (on the left) -> Game Controllers -> Select your controller -> Properties -> Settings tab -> Select Calibration and follow the instructions. If during calibration you see that the right and/or left stick is being pressed in a direction, it is a hardware issue. In such cases replacing the controller is a better option. If it is still under warranty you can get it replaced. If you bought it from Game stop they do normally accept returns within a month or so.

There is one thing you can that sometimes works: Press the right stick towards right and turn it fast in a circle all the way through clockwise. Repeat it 3-4 times and then do it anti clockwise. It works for me each time my controller acts like that, I dont know how but it doesnt matter. Hope it works.

Killing Floor gamepad help!

You seem to be quiet experienced with using software to map controls to your gamepad. If the camera looks down automatically then it is not the software or the mapping thats gone wrong, but the stick calibration is whats messed up. It happens to a lot of gamepads. Repairing it is quite easy but you have to open the gamepad and things might get worse if you dont know what you are doing.

I own a Rumblepad 2 and it does this kind of stuff too. What I do to fix it is, grab the stick toward right and turn it in a circle all the way through clockwise. Repeat it twice or thrice then do it anti-clockwise. Turn the stick vigorously, not slowly. It fixes my gamepad always. You can give that a try.

Another thing to do is let Windows Calibrate your gamepad. Depending on your operating system there are instructions on this website how to do it. Check it out.

Let me know how it goes.

Too senitive can't control fx9 or fsx

First try the usual suspects. Uninstall *all* game controller software, reboot and install the latest Logitech drivers for your stick. Make sure you've got the latest Vista SP1 + updates. Make sure you're running the latest update of DirectX. Check for patches for your game. Plug the stick into a different port.

Check the physical movement of the stick - any springs feel broken/missing? Tension settings too high or too low? If all those are done, go in to the game controller calibration in Windows and calibrate. Test it - does the stick control the cursor properly? If so, but in-game you have problems, the problem is most likely related to the game code and unless they've released a fix, there's not much you can do.

If the stick has problems with calibration and you've installed any/all updates - likely a defective stick, contact your seller.

Well.. if you have windows xp.. then you can calibrate your controller fairly easily.

Go here:

Control panel:Printers and Other Hardware:Game Controllers:(your controller should be in the list):Advanced:Calibrate

This should solve your problem ;)

Sticking Joy Stick

Try the recalibration utility. Please click here.

Should that not work, you may have to do a clean boot/install of the gaming software.

1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Open the Add / Remove Programs window.
3. Locate the listing for the software and remove it. When prompted to remove the camera drivers files, click Yes.

Now download the latest version of the software for your OS from HERE

The following is the procedure for a 'clean boot'. I am assuming that you have XP. If you have a different OS, just let me know and I will send you the appropriate procedure to boot clean in that OS.

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart

After restarting, reinstall the downloaded software. Next , do the following:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. Replace checkmarks in the items that you previously removed them from.
3. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
4. Click OK
5. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer

Hope that helps...Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

P.S. Before you assign a rating, please make sure that the issue is resolved or you are satisfied. If not, please post back as to what you did, and/or any other questions you may have, and I will try to assist you as best I can.
