Question about Computers & Internet

Doorbell frequencies. We have recently purchased a new wireless doorbell. However it keeps going off whenever any of our neighbours rings. I know I need to change the frequency but I've lost the instructions. It has 4 black pegs on the back that can be removed. I've read on a forum to remove one or more of the pegs but if I do this it doesn't work at all. Any ideas please?

I had the same problem however, I gave the door bell to my Mom and Brother thinking that someone wouldn't have the same one but it's doing the same thing at their house too. So I know it's an interference from something else I heard that cell phones, wirless pc's other electronics might interfer with it.

In the transmitter and receiver, You will see a small box or circle with a flathead screw inside. Turn this one 1 whole turn clockwise or counter clockwise. Fine tune the transmitter or receiver so it will have max range. (higher frequency travels further, which is good info if you want to increase range.

Check the reciever (ringer) as well, it will have to be set to match what you do to the transmitter (the doorbell button)

My utilitech wireless doorbell rings by itself how do I stop this

It is most likely caused by localised interference/signals from another device close by.
If the unit has an option to change the frequency, use it.
if not unlees you find the source of the interference a hardwired doorbell is the best option.

When our neighbour's wireless bell is rung our wireless bell rings as well

Open up the back of your bell and the back of your button. There should be switches you can move. Just move them the same on the button and the bell. This will make it so yours doesn't ring when theirs does.

Phantom bell rings on Siemens wirreless door bell chime jsjs-204, I do not have instructions

You may need to change the frequency of the chime. In this model, you need to remove the batteries from the receiver unit and wait for a while. Then replace the batteries. The doorbell unit should automatically set itself to a different frequency once you press the button, which will(hopefully) solve the problem.

It seems impossible to find the instruction manual for the doorbell. But see who had a similar problem with a different Siemens model, which works on the same principles. (I can't seem to be able to remove the battery from the door bell unit on the jsjs204, but it reset itself after changing the batteries in the receiver).

We are installing the doorbell and here is how we have it set up: the 18 volts off transformer red wire going to transformer on doorbell, negative wire going to outside button, red wire from button going...

need more info. Doorbells do not need 2 xfrms. The red off 24 volt xfmr foes to door switch and returns on white. If you have 2 door switch one switch to front door label on doorbell and the 2nd goes to back door label. What is the brand and model number/ I'll try and walk you thru it.

How do I reprogram my byron sx81r door bell, it rings anytime and also changes its own tune when it likes

If it plays anytune that it must be picking up another doorbell frequency, and according to the instructions you need to 'reset the digital code' of the frequency for your doorbell. I've had problems doing this with mine, but you never know, it just might work for are the instructions:
