Re: drill

Hi hope to help
sounds like you have a problem with your brushes they may just need replacing but do not strip the drill down to do this just take out the batery then take the 4 screws from the rear off the drill and take off the cover see if the brushes are worn it doesnt take a lot of wear to be worn.
You can take off the wire from each brush unit then use a small flat screwdriver to pop out the brush unit then replace you should be able to get the brushes from any dewalt stockest.
Hope that helps. Sean

Ihave a black and decker drill. The charger shows a flashing red light and does not charge the drill

Try inserting battery quickly 5 or 6 times to see if it is just a connection problem, sometimes this works in cleaning the terminals.
press the helpful button.
I think the red blinking light is a fault, normally should be a green flashing light while charging.

Bosch 18 2-L. I press the button, led light comes on but drill is temperamental in any setting? It works, sometimes not or stops halfway through. Any input would be greatly appreciated. John

none of them will last forever being used in dirty work conditions .and from your picture it looks like drywall dust . one of the worst things on drills . gets in the insides and eats them up you can try blowing it out with compressed air daily but do not hold your breath it might help for awhile but the drill is dying slowly

Motor works and spins but as soon as the drill touches the wall drill stops but motor keeps going.

Check the speed switch on top - sometimes it doesn't fully seat in the 1 or 2 position. Switch it to the opposite setting, run it, then switch back, until it seats properly. Also check the clutch control ring for the same issue.

I have the dewalt dwo56 impact driver and ive had it for a yr and i have no warranty on it ..i have a problem with the drill when i press the button for it to work it doesnt you have to shake it or tap it...

That's where I would start. If your warranty is void, I would take the screws out of the body and investigate. Look at the brushes for proper wear and position, then check the connections at the switch for a loose wire or bad connection. If all looks good, check the battery connection clips at the tool. Good luck.

Drill doesnt work unless shaken

It sounds like a bad cord, or a loose electrical connection inside the handle, or the switch.

Instead of shaking the drill, try wiggling the cord where it goes into the drill handle, then wiggle it where if plugs into the wall.

If this doesn't cause the drill to run, try pressing the switch repeatedly to see if that causes it to run. If that doesn't work, it's probably a connection inside the handle.

Try these procedures and please let me know the results. We'll take it from there.
