Yes the NetGear router is compatible with Comcast. You'll just connect the one 'computer' output from the Comcast box into the WAN input on the NetGear box, and in the outputs from the Router plug it from there to your computer.

My landline is hook up to ciso an thats hook up to netgear how do i make calls out

If it's a cable modem you should have your phone landline connected to the cable model, if you have a "bundle". TV, Broadband, Phone with your provider. For example: I have Comcast/Xfinity bundle, TV, Phone, High Speed Internet. At the Comcast Modem it has a Phone jack RJ-11 for landline and Fax and a RJ-45 for my Wireless Access Point and Ethernet cable.

Netgear WGT624 router won't connect to the internet

I am in the UK and have found through experience the Netgear's seem to work perfect on a BT line (equivalent of AT & T)
but not on the cable.

I would suggest purchasing a Linksys by Cisco WRT54GL Wireless-G Broadband Router as these seem to install in minutes,
saves me hours of wasted time when setting up wireless networks.
