Re: wireless prob

Open the Printers and Faxes folder on the computer that was connected to your printer.
To open the Printers and Faxes folder
• Click Start and then click Control Panel.
• Click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Printers and Faxes.
• In the Printers and Faxes folder, Click the printer's icon and, in the tasks pane, Click Share This Printer.
• Open the printer's Properties dialog box, and clicked on the Sharing tab.
• Click Share Name, and then click OK.
That's it—the printer is immediately available for other computers to use.
Now that you have a network printer, Your was ready to connect to it and print from other computers on the network.
To connect to the printer:
• Open Control Panel, and clicked Printers and Other Hardware.
• Click Add a Printer.
• Instead of adding a local printer, click Printer Connection and then browse the network for the printer.

Computer won't recognise ethernet connection from router

I don't know the make. model, of laptop or your OS? Open network connections, is it enabled? Is there a Network Icon in the Tray Notification Area? You really do not need a Disk to connect. Just plug in the ethernet and boot the machine. The computer should ID the connection, if it enabled and working properly. If not open Device Manager , Network Adapters and enable the ethernet adapter. For further assistance respond to post.

Computer does not connect

NEW LAPTOP? Noticed a lot of post for same Laptop as same time.
If try to use wireless - you need to set-up wireless part of router and wireless part of laptop (Wireless Software).
Setup your network same it is on the PC.
Use Network setup wizard, if not know how in system manager, in the control panel.
Network Name is same on both, MYHOUSE is good.
The only thing different should be NAME, like SYS02,
PC would be SYS01, and IPaddress ( first 3 sections same as PC - Last section is indivual system - example follows:
PC = then LT =
Suggest you hard wire laptop to router to verify network connection then work on wireless connection setup after you get connected thru hard line.

Can I connect my HP PSC1510 to my BT Homehub v1?

yes, you can. I have my printer connect to my hub and my desktop and I can print from my laptop wirelessly.
You will need your all in one connected via a printer or USB cable to a computer AND also connected to your hub. Then, go to the computer that is connected through a cable to the all in one. Your all in one should have some way to configure its IP address. I have my printer configured as and it's plugged into the 4th port of my hub. Check if this works.

have you typed the key exactly? viz uppercase/lowercase. The switch(hub) might have MAC address filtering on. also check if the switch(hub) has a DHCP running, which allocates IP addresses, if not you need to set your wireless connections IP address within the same range as the switch. If all else fails attempt to connect the switch via a utp network cable which should have been suplied with the switch(hub) so you can access the switch and make the necessary changes... email me on should you need more info.

Cannot connect to wifi on our bt home hub

Could be a variety of reasons.
Assuming you have not had it working before
Assuming the wifi is broadcasting it SSID
Assuming you have laptop connected by ethernet cable to hub:

Assuming you have XP:

Go to start/control panel/network connections/right click the wireless lan icon and select properties/select wireless connections and delete ALL previous entries.

With Vista go:start globe then

Control Panel\Network and Sharing\Manage Wireless Networks and delete all entries

press windows key and R
type cmd and enter
type ipconfig and enter
note lower set of figures ie
open browser and type in those figures and enter
should now open router firmware
When asked for log in use defaults of admin - admin or admin - password

navigate to wireless security and set encryption to WEP 64bit and create a simple encryption code - save settings

Change broadcast channel to 8

make sure wifi is set to open and not shared

Save all settings, allow hub to reboot and now see what happens

Samsung R60 plus - not connecting to wireless network

Have you tried setting the wireless adapter settings to the default? Have you tried uninstalling the wireless adapter and re-installing it? Do you have a home network setup with an encryption key?

Wireless connection problem

BT is right, the fault is at your end, because you can connect to the Internet with an ethernet cable.
You have lost your wireless connection with the wireless hub.
This could be low signal strength (especially if the wireless access point is in one part of the house and your laptop is in another room)
OR Your laptop wireless card has lost its wireless access configuration.
Check your laptop wireless configuration, check your signal strength, check your SSID, check your security (WEP or WAP),
Have you got MAC address filtering.
Go to control panel, click on network connections, right click on Wireless Network, Click on repair (might fix your connection problem), Else right click on Status (should give you indication of how your wireless is functioning or not functioning).
Check your TCP/IP settings is set for "Obtain an IP address automatically"
Without more information it is difficult to identify exactly what is wrong with your connection.
