My garmin in nuvi 1350 will not charge it keeps saying the battery is low

Nuvi 1350 charges in 4 to 8 hours. If your Nuvi is not accepting a charge, you may have a loose or bad USB cable. Note that the Nuvi can be charged with a phone charger. Charging it with a connection to a computer moves charging time toward 8 hours and more towards infinity if you don't have the driver installed on the computer. Turn the Garmin off. If the driver ins installed in the coputer, plug the Garmin into the computer and then hold down the power button on the Garmin for 30 seconds.

My new computer running Win 7 will not recognize my Forerunner 305; I have installed and reinstalled training Center, drivers etc. and it still wont work. The USB connection is good because I can hear it...

Did you install from the CD or did you install the latest drivers (dated Dec 2009)? http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=591 has the latest USB driver. Other software updates are at http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00467-00

The newer drivers are Win7 compatible. Next, do you plug it into the computer or a hub? Try a direct connection. Also look at the contacts on the device and the cable. If there are any dark spots try cleaning the oxidation with a pencil eraser or another non-abrasive material (toothpaste for example).

What version firmware does the software report? If you see 0.0, try reinstalling the firmware https://buy.garmin.com/shop/store/downloadsAgree.jsp?id=3289&product=010-00467-00&cID=142&pID=349 . Download the software, then run it (click run a second time if the UAC comes up). Then connect the Forerunner to the computer. You'll need to allow extra time for a satellite fix the next time you use the device.

I hope this helps.

your disk might be corrupted. May be the only solution is to format, with all data lost.
Otherwise try to plugg another SD in Garmin, and see result.

Be carefull that when removing (disconnect) a SD device, it must be ejected properly, otherwise it may be corrupted if a write operation is ongoing.

Communication between device and computer

The first thing I would try is to go to the manufacturers web side and download current USB drivers for you computer and device. Install the driver, reboot your computer and try to connect the device. If that doesn't work please let us know.

I deleted files in garmin 205W now I lost voice and languages

I also had this problem while trying to register a Nuvi 205W. I talked to someone at Garmin tech support and found that I was using USB cable that was only meant to plug in to my computer to recharge the unit. I have now sent for a data transmission USB cable, will see if that solves the problem when it arrives. Hope this helps.

Will not turn on

I've just experienced the same issue. I spoke with a Garmin tech about this and explained that I had also tried using the reset button, several different outlets, and the USB cable. The tech seemed very familiar with this issue and immediately recommended that I download the most recent software update from their website, then leave the unit unplugged for 24 - 48 hours to fully discharge the battery. He claimed that the unit was actually on, but a software glitch prevented both the reset and power buttons from functioning and also prevented anything from being displayed on the screen. He suggested that once the battery has completely drained, it will power up again when plugged into the USB port of your computer. The software update is said to help prevent the problem from recurring. I am still waiting for the battery to discharge so I have been unable to get this fix to work for myself yet.
