I put music on the mp3 player but it says the folder is empty

  • Anna85 May 19, 2008

I've also got a base mp3-player. First I had about 200 songs on it and I was able to play them all. Later on I added more songs to it and then I only could play the first 12 songs!!! When I try to open the other ones, the player says: 'No file'. Then I readed the description (should have done it earlier). It said that you shouldn't put the music in more than 30 folders. Right now I've got about 50 folders on my mp3-player, so this might be the problem??? Because when I had my music in less then 30 folders, there was no problem at all.

I had the same problem as well. you can try to format it and then reload your Base Mp3 player with songs again. That worked for me.

Cheers

You need to update the media library. Usually there's an icon you can press, called "Update MedLib" or somegthing like that. Hope that helps.

I managed to delete the files that no longer had shortcuts, but i had to do it the long way. Try syncing a different song to the device, as it automatically reloads the database. Hope this helps.

Deleting files from mp3 player

if its is a Flash-based MP3 player. That means that it has a small amount of built-in memory inside the player as well as an SD expansion slot for storing songs. When the player is connected, songs may be stored in either of these two places.
you probably stored your songs on the internal memory. In either case, there are two basic ways to delete songs off of your player. You can use MP3 software (such as MusicMatch) to do this or just do it by GA_googleFillSlot("TL-IMU-Article"); q.gifhand.
To delete the files, follow the same process but delete the files instead of adding them. Assuming that you are using Microsoft Windows, click on "My Computer" and find the drive that is labeled "Removable Disk" and click on it. Look for a songs folder and continue to drill down folder by folder until you see your songs show up in the list. Highlight the songs that you want to delete (or the whole folder) and hit the delete button on your computer.and it will delete.hope this helps

How do i delete songs from my mp3 player?

Mp3 Players rarely if ever hold as many songs as they advertise - the numbers on the box, spec sheets are "ideal" numbers based on unrealistic 2-minute long songs all in mp3 ultra-compressed format. Although there are exceptions, I have found that, in general, 6GB = 1000 songs, 2GB = 400 songs, 1 GB = 200 songs. Very long audio files, audio books, etc will throw these numbers WAY off.

MyMusix's PD-6030:
If you are using Windows Media Player 11, go to the sync tab and make sure it is displaying only the files on your Mp3 player, and not every file stored on your Computer's hard drive. Click once on a song you want to delete, and then hit the delete button on your computer's keyboard.
If your not using Windows Media Player 11, then read pp. 17-20 of your user's manual, available at www.mymusix.com
