Question about Xerox DocuColor 4LP Laser Printer
Have Xerox Docucolor 4LP on a home network with 3 XP machines on a standard ethernet router, bridged to the net
All three machines can ping (via ipconfig) the Xerox without packet loss, but only one computer(PCStudy) can print to the printer, and only through the LPT1.
The other printers cannot print anything, tried configuring ports through COM1 and COM3, Xerox is set at 192.168.2.7, unique and static. The router recognizes the printer and all three PCs. Installed drivers on the other machines and they will print only if PCStudy is up and running. Any ideas?
Have you checked your firewall?
Often times, even though you can ping the printer, the firewall will block the data going to the printer.
