Pls. adjust the ISO.

Use the nite SCN. (The feature often avoids the use of flash)

Swich the flash off. When doing this remember to hold the camera very still when taking the pics.

Flash not working

Hi there and welcome to FixYa.

Bad batteries can cause that. The flash module needs alot of power to charge. Your camera will still work, but without enough power to charge the flash module, it may take along time. Again.
Try fresh batteries.

Prob with black lcd display

Try shining a very bright (Preferably an ultrabright LCD) flashlight directly into the lens while the camera is on. Hold it there for a few moments. Do you see anything on the display yet?

Dark pictures from kodak cx7430

Is your camera set to auto mode? I'm not sure if the CX7430 has manual settings or not, but try making sure its on auto.
Its possible the lens or the CCD (the device responsible for actually taking the photo) is going bad.

This guy - Darntoothysam has a CCD assembly as a low cost fix, 15 dollars.
