Hi.
To configure the router you must connect a computer to the router using an Ethernet cable. This can be done using a laptop or a PC, the important thing is that you connect using a cable, and not the wireless connection.
To access the router setting control panel, after connecting with a cable put the router IP on Internet Explorer address bar.
Default IP is 192.168.1.1 , or 192.168.0.1
If you are using a computer to configure the router, turn off the firewall.
If the default IP does not work you can find out router IP opening the command prompt (type CMD in run box) and typing ipconfig/all in the Dos command prompt.
Router IP will be indicated as default gateway.
The last thing needed to access router settings will be router ID and password.
Default username is blank and the default password is "admin."
After accessing the panel you will have to input the data given by your ISP to configure the internet. If you do not have them at hand, then call your provider, and get followed in step by step configuration by their phone customer support.
Manual is also available at: Linksys® by Cisco
Regards.
You can do it from ANY computer that is connected to the router. Wired or Wirelessly.
