Question about Yamaha DSP-A1 Receiver
Sometimes my A-3090 is unable to turn on to the program and cut off automatically after one "click" sound. Sometimes it is able to turn on to the program with two "clicks" sound, but may also cut off halfway. Could you please let me know how to solve this probem? Thank you!

to get to the diagnostic menu on the machine press power button set menu + button and next key all at the same time which will take you to the diagnostic menu

The display problem is because the solderings on the back of the display are broken. To fix it you have to open the amp and redo the solderings (there are about 50 or 60 of them). There is a Youtube video that shows how to do it. I have fixed this on my DSP-A1.
I also have the problem with the motorized volume control. I have tried cleaning it, and it works for a few days, then it's stuck again. I guess I will have to replace it to have it fixed permanently. The part number is VZ621400, a new one costs about 40$.

It is going into protection mode, and shutting itself off. You have a short somewhere. I would suggest taking it to an authorized service center for assistance. This is not easy to diagnose, as it could be anything causing the short.
Try disconnecting everything from the unit, including the speakers, and turning on again. This will just confirm that the problem is the amp, and nothing external. Also, try connecting it to a different power supply/socket.

Your unit have had detected a fault and enter the protect mode. To determined, what exactly wrong with it, you will have to take it to Yamaha authorized repair facility.
