Hi, my player was all fine.one day i was transfering songs from my pc to my player.a power cut occured due to which my player hanged.i pressed reset botton to turn it off.bt after that when i restarted my player.all the images were there bt when i go to library to play music.it hangs.then i have to press reset to turn it off.and when i go to settings to know about memory status.it shows 0.0 gb capacity,0.0 gb available.and when i connect it to my pc.message appears that the device is not properly connected.plz help me
Maybe due to the power cut its your driver on the pc that needs reinstalling...what i would do is reinstall pc driver and then connect to pc and use samsung music studio to either sync with pc and see if that makes the songs on player work and if it doesnt then use the recovery utility included with samsung music studio

try transfering the songs by copying and pasting into the mp3 player. don't sync the device with your pc , just open as a mass storage device. also you may need to reformat the mp3 player but don't choose the quick format option. even better if you can format through the mp3 players menu. and check the format file systm is ntfs.
simply format the player ...in xp using ..format option..if dat dusnt wrk reset the player (theres a reset pin provided.look for it !!) and the prob sud be solved...such probs occur due to fragments in memory and can be reset very easily as suggested above..lemme know if ur prob wuz solved .
Tracks must be transferred using the Musicmatch Jukebox software supplied with the player. You cannot drag & drop from Windows, even though the player shows up as a removable drive. Musicmatch transfers the tracks, and alkso updates the file list on the player. If the tracks aren't on the file list, the player will ignore them.
Also, you need to have Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10, as Musicmatch uses drivers from version 10.
If you have Windows Media Player 11 installed, you will need to uninstall it to roll back to version 10.
If Musicmatch still doesn't transfer correctly, click on options / tools, and make sure that the device is recognised as "GoGear" , and not "Removable drive"
It might be due to the memory being entirely filled up that there isn't enough room for the song you've tried to install, therefore, it might not install all the way on some of the MP3's where others will not install it at all because their system senses not enough room in there to fit it.
Have you tried to delete some space? Also, do you still own this device since it has been a few months since you've posted your question.

Did you notice if you got any error msgs when you are done transfering? I get the error msgs and it still shows the songs on the download list but those are the ones that are not on the MP3 player. I am trying to figure out why I get error msgs from cd's that I have purchased but not from downloaded music form the internet...want to trade info?
had the same problem just last week on my player. I had to download a newer device manager and then do a repair. also after i did the repair i did a soft reset(hold down the up button for 5 seconds, then push power), now it works fine.
