Question about Palm Treo 650 Handheld
I just bought the pda off someone and with the ear phones I can hear a ringing sound when calling out and I can hear the person talk on the other line but I can't answer them- they don't hear me. If I call the palm treo it rings and activates but I don't hear the other person and they don't hear me. I shouldn't have to use a bluetooth right? It probably would work with a bluetooth but I want to use it as a normal cell phone.
I have had the same problem a couple of times just go into prefs then under the communication header click on the handsfree option and change auto answer to "immediately" this worked for me, good luck.

The 650 seems to have a delicate headphone/mic jack. Dropping the phone, even gently, seems mess up that jack. I returned my first treo 650 as defective, and got a new one. The same thing happened to my new 650 after I simply compressed the phone in my breast coat pocket by holding my mail against my chest.
I can't get a new one because the replacement treo comes with no warranty of any kind. :(
My advice would be to find a PDA/phone repair service to repair the jack or diagnose the problem if it turns out not to be the jack.
