When installed INTEX 3D MULTIMEDIA PCI SOUND CARD it is giving sound but immediately it is disappearing

My 845g Intel mother board got on board sound problem so I bought Intex 3D Multimedia PCI Sound Card and installed by disabling the on board sound in the setup. When I loaded the drivers and restarted the system it is giving sound but immediately after operating any sound (even volume control) it is getting disappearing. If I move the volume control it is giving just hissing sound from my speakers. I tried repeatedly by reinstalling the sound drivers and even my Win-XP SP-II but the problem remains same.

Please any body help me what to do?

Dear Nath,

I met same problem with my client before. Hope this helps; Uninstall any music or sound application(s) that has remote control feature or disable it (uninstallation is preferred). Now, at Safe Mode(with built-in sound card disabled), in Control panel soundcard device properties uninstall all sound card drivers. Restart in normal mode and reinstall back the sound card drivers. By transferring the secondary sound on another PCI slots may help solve the problem, the reason is the IRQ number conflicts. One of the worst case we met to solve this kind of problem is by reformatting the system but do it only when there is a great need, extra time, file backed-up. Have a great day.

Best regards,

Sound on Compaq evo d150. The next site says:
Audio: "Integrated Intel Audio with Premium Internal Speaker".
So there should be a:
* speaker inside
* working on an Intel driver.

The chipset of the motherboard is Intel 845G.
The AC 97 audio driver can be installed by online detection of
your hardware using the Intel driver update utility:

When using a PCI-slot for extra sound, the matching driver of the
PCI-audio-card should be installed. Of course external powered and wired speakers will be required as well.

with some of the sound man drivers for motherboard chipsets it gives a BSOD error. blue screen of death. to fix this in the quikest manner i would install a pci sound card and install this one instead of the on board sound.

My computer has a problem with card sound inside mother board.

Disable the onboard sound car in cmos , then plug in a pci slot fitting sound card, reboot, windows will report new hardware found, load the drivers, restart for changes to take effect, job done.

Intex 3D multimedia pci soundcard

Hi, check your speaker leads and speakers, if both of these are ok replace the sound card. a good test for the speakers is to use them with the onboard sound to see if you still get the growl.
