Ref LG 42PG6900. The audio from the HDD does not output to scart

Ref LG 42PG6900. The audio output from the HDD does not seem to be on the same scart as the audio from the live TV. The TV itself plays sound from the HDD OK.My external surround sound system receives nothing when playing the HDD but is fine when the TV is receiving live.

The 5.1 Dolby Digital is only on the TOS link!
Same as the SKY box. God knows why!

Need help, got a LG 42PJ550 Plasma TV and a Bush Model CHT100DVDTB but there isnt a headphones socket so i can link it up, have you guys got any ideas or help?

Theres a simple solution
you should buy
a scart adapter
http://www.amazon.com/Scart-Composite-S-Video-Audio-Adapter/dp/B006RBMJ46/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408100307&sr=8-1&keywords=scart+adapter

and
some rca audio cables
http://www.amazon.com/iMBAPrice%C2%AE-PREMIUM-6-Feet-Stereo-Plated/dp/B001VIYYCK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1408100626&sr=8-2&keywords=rca+cable

plug it in
and plug the red and white cords to your auxiliary input from your Bush model (its located to the back of you home theater and writes aux) then by pressing the aux button you should hear volume from your tv
Ps the adapter switch should be at the output mode
hope that was somehow helpful

HOW I CAN HAVE OUTPUT FRO AUDIO LINE ROM LG 55LH5000???

Hi, sorry but Most LG's no longer have audio outputs. The easiest way to get it ,You need to take the audio output from the source i.e. "cable box output"..if you have of course...
However whether your TV has this output or not we need to make some tests..5 different connections possibilities provided below.
(not by priority..you can start with any of it ).Below ,there is a sample TV back panel picture as well
Possible CONNECTIONS:
1) 2x RCA ports red / white is audio out ( L + R ) of TV to Stereo..
2) You can get also the audio digital output from the TV to a A/V receiver. the tv's optical audio out is stereo only mainly designed for freeview or tv audio to be output,
set the audio ouput on the TV menu to Dolby Digital, connect a digital optical out directly to the A/V receiver to receive audio signals.
3) since your TV has :2 x HDMI, SCART, AV, Component Video, VGA-sub, USB 2.0, connections, you may use the SCART plug to get Audio output for your TV .
TV's SCART connector which has 21 pins and "2x Audio Output " pins should be in it.
you need to buy an adapter called " RGB Scart Male to 3 RCA AV Female Adapter Converter" that can easily be found any electronic Market..one example as found eBay URL is below..
http://cgi.ebay.com/RGB-Scart-Male-3-RCA-AV-Female-Adapter-Converter-/130389078197
After you get this adapter, you need to carry the audio signal from SCART's RCA plugs to your Receiver with a 2x RCA (white/red ) cable.(if this does not work ,mfg should state somewhere in the manual..as your TV's "SCART socket IN only" ) if you properly connect IN/OUT plugs you will able to get the audio signal of the TV thru stereo..I recommend 2 $ value "RGB-Scart-Male-3-RCA-AV-Female-Adapter-Converter" with IN/OUT switch on it.
4) use HDMI connection of TV if you have HDMI input on your stereo of course...
5) if these are not an audio-out on one of these connectors , so you'll need to use the headphone socket if you want to plug it into a stereo. you need a cable 2x RCA to 3.5mm Headphone jack.
( This is the last ditch solution , since it mutes the whole sound.) ..
NOTE: if you connect this, pls be careful, your TV voice level will drive the stereo volume....

Hope this helps!..if more help requires Would you please let me know the result ?
Take care and please

I have just bought a samsung lcd tv with 1 scart socket. But I have a satellite box and an hdd recorder but I dont know how to connect it all up. Could anyone help. Thank you

Hello,

The Sky box should connect to the TV using it's TV Scart output.

The HDD recorder then connects to the SKY via the other Scart.

When you turn the HDD recorder on, the SKY box will automatically switch.

You need to put your normal antenna into the HDD recorder and tune it in.

When the Sky is off, you can use the HDD recorder for playback, you can also switch between the 2 when it is on with the Sky remote.

LG RH266 DVD Recorder no sound

Hi .. It sounds like the problem you have is incompatabilty I assume that you haven tried Phono connections instead of scart , as this sometimes cures this problem .. or when purcahsing a scart look for the Miirrored type this means that the inputs and outputs are reversed this also sometimes cures the problem as some scarts put output to output and input to input ect when actually it should be output from tv to input dvd and so on ie wrong scart and there are a few of the cheaper type that have this problem .. if you have no luck using the phono let me know .. Regards Vortash

No sound through channels on hdd dvd

If you are taking output from the Red, Green Blue connectors (Component) from your video source and plugging them into your hd dvd recorder, you need a sound channel as well. The S-video carries both audio & video but not in high-definition. Sounds like you've got the 3 channels for your video (RGB-component) connection now you need an audio signal into your HD DVD recorder. That will be 1 fibre connection or 2 cables. Let me know if you get it working & good luck!

I have an LG LCD TV (LG 37LG5000 37IN). I also have an older DVD Home Theatre System (SONY DAV-DZ100). It seems that the surround system works well with DVDs but I cannot get the sound to work with DIGITAL...

It works fine if you plug the surround system SCART lead into the AV2 input. I believe this is a 'smart' scart plug (same as SONY but it is not mentioned as in the literature). The AV1 is only good for inputs NOT outputs as well.

LG Plasma 42PC56 optical digital audio out

I can't imagine your setup. Box, tv and pc speakers?
Typical setup would be box, tv and some kind audio system with optical IN. Correct wiring would be connect box to tv via scart and connect optical cable from BOX to audio system. You have to go from box not from TV since scart connection doesn't carry audio signal. To have TV to output optical audio out you would have to connect it to box via hdmi.
