Over Flow Fault detection

I manually washed the inside of the wasshing machine and caused an overflow fault. The machine will constantly drain and not allow the door to be opened or any programs to run. If any one could help with a code sequence or any way to reset the machine it would be graetly appreciated

Press "end of cycle" button; and wait for 2 minutes before trying the door. Do not force the door.

Rate me if helped please.

Possible your exit hose is lying at ground level behind the machine. Fit it up a the normal 3 feet up before it goes into drain pipe.

I have a whirlpool awm8121 washing machine. It starts to fill then stops itself and drains. Ran diagnostic test and it has fault code 1. Inlet hoses and filter are clear. Any ideas appreciated thanks

Hello: Fault detected malfunction code 1 for your model states
"Water not entering or not detected". Check inlet tap, cold inlet valve, pressure switch. Sounds like you said water is going in and has good flow, but may not be "detected". Could be a sensing problem like pressure switch.

Whirlpool awm 8125 fault code F09 followed by FA

The drain pump runs constantly in an effort to drain the water. Unplug the washer and, if the washer is overfilled, check the water inlet valve assembly for proper shut-off of water flow. If the water inlet valve assembly is defective, replace it. If the washer is empty when this error code appears, replace the water-level pressure switch.

Error code F09 for whirlpool

F09 Overflow condition If the Overflow contact on the pressure switch is Closed for more than 60 seconds an Overflow condition will occur. In an Overflow condition, the Door will remain locked, and the Drain Pump will run constantly, even if PAUSE/CANCEL is pressed twice and the Display is cleared. Unplug the unit to service.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check Wire Harness connections to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check / Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects
• Check for Drain Pump Failure
• Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off
• Check the Pressure switch for proper operation

Replace failed component.

Hi-i have an lg wasshing machine 5.5kg wf-t552c.wont spin outside drum-lower plastic disc in drum spins only-drains water ok.

Now you meant that the agitator shaft works but the drum does not work. So the fault seems associated with the motor drive and could be a belt failure or a drive failure.
In this case it is important that an observsation into the fault from the motor drive is important to confirm the cause as it seems mechanically related.- since all other functions works according to the cycle.

My washing machine overflows during what seems like the rinse cycle. When I shut off the water supply and let it run the water drains out. Whats causing that problem??

It is so common that the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. This fault indicated can be due to failure of the water level sensors causing overflow but in all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occurs. Removing and Cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there is gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

What does an error F09 mean in my washing machine? It's trying to start up in a cycle and then stops and the error comes up. Please help, Anna

If the machine is a Whirlpool, the fault means an overflow condition.

If the overflow contact switch is closed for more than 60 seconds an Overflow condition will occur. The door will remain locked and the pump will run constantly, even if Pause/Cancel is pressed twice and the display is cleared. Unplug the unit to service.

Check the drain hose to make sure it is not plugged oe kinked.
Check the wire harness to the drain pump, pressure switch and central control unit.
Check and clean the drain pump filter, check for foreign objects.
Check for drain pump failure
Check inlet valve for proper shut-off
Check pressure switch for proper operation

Replace failed units.

Pump constantly on and won't fill

First check whether inlet water is OK. Just for a trial manually pour water in the wash chamber without overflowing, to avoid spillage on your floor.

Run a empty cycle. If it works & drains check the inlet flow up to the pump, inside the machine.

The wash stop spining

Their is no belt or transmission. The brain might have detected an anomoly of some sort such as: slow drain, this is the most popular sometimes objects get into the small electric pump causing it to take much longer than usual to empty the water. The brain shuts down the machine for fear of a overflowing drain etc. The load could be unbalanced or too many in there for the motor to spin top speed and that can cause the brain to shut it down. At any rate you should get some sort of fault code. I have a Cabrio manual HERE
