1. Click on Start, Run and type in AppWiz.cpl.
2. Uninstall Adobe Reader 9.
3. Go to C:\Program Files and delete the Adobe folder.
4. Reboot your machine.
5. Browse to www.adobe.com and download the latest Adobe Reader version.
Try to reboot to Windows Safe Mode (press F8 before Windows boots) and remove Adobe from Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel and delete the file with virus.
Check your PC with online virus scanner (trend.com).
Download Adobe Reader from Adobe and reinstall.
You may need to remove the Adobe 9 program, download the program again (there was a recent upgrade), and reinstall it. That should override any previous settings.
Hello davideiker1, the Intel D845GRG MB manual is shared with another Intel board. (D845GBV MB). Go to this Intel site & download the D845GRG manual; http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d845grg/sb/cs-008873.htm You'll need Adobe reader to view the manual. Download Adobe from this link; http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/ See page 9 for motherboard layout. The front panel connectors are shown on page 68, see item C. On page 69 is, Table 31 shows the pin assignments for the front panel header. Front Panel Header (J9G1). Pin 1 is power for the hard disk drive led, pin-3 is negative for the hard disk drive. Wire colors coming from the case are important. Look at all of the front case wires. The common color for each 2-pin connector will be ground. In most cases the ground wire is white, except for the internal speaker. Ground for the speaker is normally black. (This motherboards speaker is built into the MB, no hook up is needed). Pin number 2 is positive for the case power led which lights up as green. Pin 4 is negative for the power led. The reset switch is a bit different. Pin 5 is negative & pin 9 is positive, however if your case uses a two pin connector than connect pin 7 as ground & pin 9 for positive. The On/Off switch, pin 6 is positive & pin 8 is negative. If this manual is not what you see on the MB, please advise.
Good luck davideiker1! Need more information/questions post here. Thank you for using FixYa. Input, comments are welcomed. Mike
I was able to remove Adobe 7.0.9 by getting feed back from "question to google crowd"!
1. I had to download a program that removed the "setup" from the Adobe 7.0.9 on my computer.
2.I then downloaded Adobe 8.1 (with the understanding that since "7.0.9" now had no setup instructions" there would be no problem with the "8.1" download) -
3.Once "8.1" was downloaded I went to "ADD/REMOVE" and removed "7.0.9" - this time it worked just fine - no message that I had to find a folder with "7.0.9" .
4.After removing "7.0.9" I removed "8.1" with the ADD/REMOVE program;
5.All Adobe was removed from the computer..I then downloaded ADOBE 9 from Adobe's website.
6.I went to my portfolio to check it out and the pages came up without a hitch.
Goodluck to those who have had a similar problem.
