Question about XFX GeForce FX 5200, Graphic Card
We just bought a GeForce Fx 5200 to install on our Dell Inspiron 8600. We have to figure out how to get into the computer to get it done. ANY info and advice would help
You've probably got it sorted by now, if not then take a look at this site.
(I know it says 8500 but it's the same for 8600's I have one of each).
There is also some useful info on temp control
Hope this helps

You need to open up your pc tower and insert it into an open slot. Do this with the computer turned off and UNPLUGGED. Once installed, turn you computer on, but still plug monitor into your old video card. Assuming you're using XP or Vista? It should detect your new card and install the drivers automatically. If not, you need to install on your own. Use the CD that came with the card, if you got one. Or you can download the driver here:
Then turn off computer, plug monitor into new video card, then start computer.
