Re: button to take a pic is broke

Sorry, the camera is useless, throw it away. New cameras are quite cheap now.

Why does Kodak Pix Pro show black screen after being lightly dropped?

Unfortunately, even lightly dropped can cause problems if it lands just the right way. For instance, at my work, I have dropped my smart phone numerous times, including onto bare pavement and never a problem. Another guy at work, knocks his off a 12" patio table and the screen shatters. It could be as simple as a knocked loose connector inside.

Dropped my Casio camera and now the pictures I take are out of focus.

When you dropped it the auto focus probably got stuck or you broke something inside and the camera is not beeing able to do that function anymore .
I would consider buying another one .
They are made cheap now days and they are digital things that break very easy.
Hope the best for you and Merry Christmas .

Try going to your main menu and set it to set to factory defaults. This may solve your problem.

The focus lens was hit by a basketball and it won't take pics.

Have you tried a different lens on the camera almost any lens with the same mm size will work. If it still does not take pictures with another lens. You should take it in for service.

The camera is slow to take a pic when i push the button! Is there a way to make the camera take a pic immediately when i push the button?

I assume you're using a point&shoot camera.

You can get faster response by pressing the shutter button halfway to focus and meter, then press it the rest of the way when the action peaks.

One of the advantages of higher-end cameras is the shorter shutter lag.

Card not initialized

Kyle850. I have a fujifilm finepix camera myself, and just recently had the same problem. The camera worked fine until one day I turned it on to take a picture and there was the "card not initialized" message. To fix the problem, just turn on your camera, push the menu button and use the right/left arrow buttons near the zoom button in the top left corner of the camera. Push the right arrow button until you come to the "option" window in the camera's view finder and use the "up" function of the zoom to highlight the "set-up" window. Press "ok", and use the right arrow button scoll over to the "2" tab and press the ok button again. Then use the "up/down" function of the zoom button to scroll down to the "format" tab. Press ok button again and use the "left" button near the zoom in and out button to highlight the "ok" option in the format window. By pressing the ok button here, it will reformat and reinitialize your picture card. If you do have pics already on your pic card, you may want to take your pic card to a photo center and see about recovering these pics before you go through the reformat process because there is a good chance that when you reformat your pic disk any pics on it will be gone. Good luck. SG

Exilm EX-Z60 black LCD screen

Do you still have the pics on the memory card? If you do take the mem card out and the "format" the internal memory of your camera and then reset it. See if that helps if not you are going to have to Call the repairs center at 800-706-2534 and then keep choosing option 1. Take mem card out. Turn on camera press menu go to setup tab go up until you see format press right arrow and highlight format press will say "Busy, please wait" Once you are back to where you can take pics press menu go to setup tab go up to reset press right arrow & highlight reset press set. See if that works for you.
