Ipod 4 GB Nano Problem

I have a Nano and it wont start up. The apple comes up then nothing. When I reset ( menu + Center button) it goes off but comes back on. My computer wont recognize its plugged in and itunes doesnt show it either. Does anyone have a suggestion because I am about to break this thing open and see whats inside.

When you turn it on and see the apple, hold down Play/pause and the middle button. Do you eventually see a check mark?

If you ipod will no longer turn on mostly it a battery issue

try this to tell for sure

-connect ipod to computer

- open itunes

- makes sure the hold button at the top is no in the on ( red ) position

- hold the menu and the center button at the same time for 2 minutes

- if the apple logo comes up then it should reboot and go back to the main menu

- if it dose not you need service / repair

Hope this helps

Ipod wont show up in my computer or itunes...

Have you tried resetting either ipod? In order to reset it, you just need to hold down both the menu button and the center button at the same time until the ipod turns off. then the apple will pop up on the screen and it will start up like normal. If this doesn't fix the problem for either ipod, then most likely the problem is with itunes or your computer. I would say that if it doesn't even show up on your computer anywhere, you're probably missing a driver or something.

Wont stop reseting

toggle the hold button on and then off while disconnected from your PC. Then hold down the menu and center button at the same time. Keep holding then until the screen flashes. Then release. Let me know if that helps, other wise you may have to do a restore and or a format.
