u need to get a Y splitter to make that one female into 2 females so both the red and blue plug in. its like 5 bucks. one end is a male rca connection then splits to to female rca's
It must start out in the off position and then when you want to watch the video put it on. There should not be any more to it than that. You may have an intermittant connection on the parking brake wire that makes you think there is some type of sequence because the first time you set the parking brake it did not work. I would check and make sure the parking brake is always engaging the wire to ground when the parking brake is pressed.
