Question about SanDisk Sansa e200 MP3 Player

Why does this happen to my converter/e260? (pic)

My sansa e260 used to work fine when downlaoding video's to it in mtp mode with the sansa media converter. NOW, everytime I try to upload a video or any other type of media with the converter, right when the file is at 99% the e260 disconnects and the report window pops up and says "Transferring Media Files to Device Failed." Why does my sansa e260 do this and how can I fix it? Is there another way of converting to the sansa? Another program perhaps?

You need to use the supplied Sansa Media Converter to convert your pics (and videos) to a format the Sansa can handle.

My sansa e260 v2 is not dettedcted by my pc

If its working fine then goto settings and change the USB mode to MSC rather than MTP otherwise you can also try updating your windows media player to 10 or above to support MTP devices.

Can't convert video

First in order to use the sandisk media converter your mp3 sansa should be recognized by your windows. You need to download MTP.
The new Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) enables you to manage content on any portable device with storag. Download from microsoft Once your sandisk is recognized then you can use the media converter. If you want to bypass media converter then you should buy a new media converter compatible with sandisk sansa and in this case you can convert without sandisk sansa attached to your computer. Please check it on the web. You can start by any video converter which available for free otherwise pro is a shareware:

MTP Mode Doesnt Work

Try uninstalling MTP Mode in the Windows Device Manager, and replugging the player - set the menu setting in the Sansa itself to "auto" for USB Mode before replugging. Let me know how it works.

Computer doesn't detect device in MTP mode

If you are using a front USB port on your computer, try using One in the rear that is connected directly to the motherboard. It worked on mine!

Sansa e260 says connected but device not recognized

I agree with the above suggestion. Try setting the USB Mode under "Settings" on "MSC" on the Sansa. My computer would not recognize the e260 when the mode was set to "MTP"; works fine on "MSC".
