Music on Mp4 wont pla through head phones,it only

Hi, the problem is going to be with the solder on the headphone socket this isnt the kind of job a novice can do and you would need specialist soldering and testing equipment to ensure that is the cause of the problem.

What you can do is check that the head phone socket has not got anything stuck inside it like fluff or small piece of paper, failing that you would have to take it into your nearest electrical repair shop.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Dell DJ 30 head phone jack has a bad conection.

Yeah i just fixed mine. Take out the black plastic on both ends. 4 tiny screws underneath, then 2 small metal ends. You will see the board on both ends.
Take out the battery fron the botton. Then TAKE OUT THE SCROLL BUTTON. After that you take out the board. Looking at the headphone jack, you will see 3 small metal connectors inside the jack. try to bend them a lil towards the inside of the connector. I actually put a very tiny piece of metal between the metal and the black plastic in order to force them out.

I was able to fix it, but in the process i broke the scroll button. If you decide to not fix yours and you want to give me the broken dell dj, let me know, i could use the parts.

You need to get a new head phone jack installed. It should be free if it is still under warranty.

My mp3 player port

Ohhh - you broke the port on the mp3 player itself - must be replaced - cannot be repaired for less than the cost of a new Mp3 player.

The battery can also be charged using an AC adapter (not included) or a car
adapter (not included) and you will be able to play your device while
charging with one of the adapters. The battery will reach approximately 70%
charge in 2.5 hours and full charge in about 3.5 hours.
