Question about Frigidaire FES367 Electric Kitchen Range

No heat in oven or on range

I have a Hot Point Electric Range. Last night while cooking dinner the burner quit heating. I proceded to check the rest of the burners and none of them worked, so I check the oven to see if it would heat up, but it also would not heat up. The power to the unit is fine as the clock works, the oven light works, and the indicator lights on each of the burner dials work, but it won't heat up i any way

Sorry about that thought it was gas. Ok first let me explain something the eoc indicator lights every thing you said is working works off 110. It takes 220 for everything to work. We have a power problem here some where because bake, broil an the top burners are all on separate circuits. One or two may fail at the same time but not all of them. The easiest thing to do is turn the oven breaker off. Then on again sometimes they can partially trip, even though it doesn't look like its tripped. That can cause your problem. Also loose wires at the breaker can do it if that doesn't do. If those check out fine. You can pull the range out and check for 220 at the outlet. If 220 volts ac is there then unplug the range, and take the cover off the cord were the cord goes in the back. Check for bad or burned terminals. Please advise me of what you find, we will go from there but we have a power problem coming to the range hope i explained it well enough. My wife says im too technical lol please don't rate me til we have finshed. Thank you Tech17

Oven wont work everything else is fine

As your oven is electric there is a heating element in the oven, have a look in the oven to find it and check the little plug in caps on the end to make sure they are not loose. If they,re ok check the switch on the front panel sometimes the knob comes loose on the spindle if that's all ok it may be the switch has failed. Good luck.

All my burners arnt working! HELP!!!

There is a cooktop PCB (power control board) which is separate from the oven. Perhaps that is the problem. That board is located behind the cooktop control membrane panel.

Hello ppeaches,
Are you sure that the oven isn't heating up more than 100 degrees or are you basing the problem on the ovens readback of 100 degrees? If it truly isn't heating more than 100 degrees then anything inside there should be hot but not so hot as that it can't be touched. Have you tried to cook anything in there? My intent to assist in diagnosing the problem is to determine if it is a control based or read back based issue? Try cooking something that requires at least a 350 degree temp and get back to me on what happens... We;ll get you running after that,,,,,

The right front burner won't heat

The switch probably failed. Remove power. Take off the top rear cover and inspect the switch for signs of discoloration (burned or brown areas). If looks OK then maybe the element failed.

Stove/oven gets hot then shuts off

Shut the breaker off! These are the exact symptoms that a tenant of ours reported for their range. I went to check the range and found that one of the power wires on the terminal block in the back of the range was burning itself up. It had actually started a small wire fire. You need to pull the range out of it's hole and unplug it. Remove the panel in the back above where the cable goes into the range. Examine the power wires and terminal block carefully, because I bet you'll find one of the wires is burning up and needs to be repaired. Please write back and let know what you find.
