Question about NEC Replacment Lamp Projector Lamp for VT470&VT670 - 3000Hrs Eco/2000Hrs Std 180W [ VT75LP
Our school has a NEC projector VT470 and the lamp won't come on at all. It was "dead" when the teacher brought it in. So we decided that the bulb was burnt out and replaced the bulb. I have installed and even reinstalled the new bulb. It still doesn't light. The Lamp light doesn't even come on. I have it connected to a computer but I can't get the green light to indicate computer to turn green either. I turn on the projector and press power. At first I get a green light, next the status light starts to blink green but there it stops. after a couple of minutes, the status light starts to blink red and the power light is orange. What can I do?
Try pressing the HELP button. Don't release and press the power button. The LED lights should blink. Release then try to power on again.

It seems like Your projector has a problem with Ballast unit, which ignites the lamp.
