Dont mean to butt in here but your refrig probably has a ECM (electronic contolled motor) which means it has a tiny computer inside it....these motors are plastic and have a plastic blade. these are a little more energy efficient and it helps the manuf get bettter energy star ratings...however...they do from time to time decide not to start every time that the unit comes on...this cause excessive heat and freon pressure to be exerted on the compressor and its electricals... The replacement motor is just the old style shade pole (magnets) motor...not quite as quiet or efficient but wayyyy more reliable. Order a replacement blade seperately from the blade/motor kit since the blade in the kit is always destroyed by the motor inside the box.

Don't worry vinny that's called a post loop part of the condenser coils run up through there and they keep it dry so your door gaskets don't get wet and moldy no problem dont forget my 4 boxes please thats a fixya

I have a KSSC48QMSO1, The center panel, that divides the freezer from the refrigerator is hot to the touch at the top end and only where the side doors close together. Also the refrigerator is not holding...

could be a problem with a dirty condenser or your condenser fan may be no good. That will cause the center panel to be hot and will prevent the refrigerator from cooling properly. Is the sides of the fridge hot to the touch as well?

The divider between the freezer and refrig is very hot to touch.

Normal for that strip to be warm since the cooling system is routed right behind it for heat transfer and to eliminate condensation. Will be warmer with increase in room temp, but if it is a significant change you should inspect/clean the coils behind the panel in the rear of the unit.

This is normal. There is a heater in this panel to stop condensation sweating between the doors.

The middle divider heats up

Yes it is normal. Old side by sides had an electric heater through that strip known as the mullion that you could turn off with the "energy saver" switch. Not any more... it is now that last pass of the condenser that runs around the door to prevent moisture build up. The more load on the sealed system, the hotter the mullion. If it gets almost too hot to touch, clean the condenser coils as they are probably getting plugged with lint and can't evacuate heat anymore... cooling will suffer too if that's the case not to mention higher energy consumption.

My frigerator

This will get warm. If very hot check and clean coils in front, underneath. Also check fan behind rear panel. It should be turning when the unit is running. Also check for door not closing properly.
