Garmin nuvi 350 -- GPS problem

My Garmin thinks I am in Kansas when I actually live in California. I followed the directions in its originial set up- letting it receive a signal- and it was fine and had found me correctly. Now, it thinks im in Kansas and I can't get it to change to my actual location. Please help!

My nuvi 350 lost all satellites. I contacted Tech Serv and worked the problem and he recommended I download latest software version. Did that but still unable to acquire any satellites. It displays that I am in Olathe, KS during satellite acquision phase where it locks up after several minutes, then asks if I am inside a building? or have I moved many miles? This is when MAPS page is being displayed.

Next recommendation was to RESET which is like reformating a drive. All user data is lost.

I was able to fix this problem along with being in demo mode by plugging the unit into my computer and deleting the "demo" file on the Garmin.

Some towns are known by two different names; for example: Orange Park/Flemming Island, Florida. Zip is 32003 for both. Porter Ranch/Northridge, California. Zip is 91326. Try either entering the alternate name (if their is one) or just the zip code...Hope this works...It solved my problem...Jim

All you need is to reset the GPS. THere is a small button under the antenna. Simply press the button, and everything would be reset.

Garmin 350 Problem

Take it outside and turn it on.  Within a couple of minutes it should locate the satellite and tell you where you are.
