Question about Acer X203H bd Monitor

3 Answers

I just purchased a new cpu and plugged in my Acer X203H monitor that i have only had for around 3 months and when I turn on the computer and monitor, the monitor power light flashes orange and blue and has a black screen. There was no screen flash on power-up or anything. I have unplugged everything, rebooted, and still exact same problem. Checked the monitor on previous computer and it has no problems there. How can I fix this?

Have youre cpu check if the monitor works on other computer, then the problem is in your cpu, if you hear any beeping sound a bad memory or vga could be posible, try removing it clean it and put it back, also if you have a vga card install clean it also then reboot, also check the power supply if it is working properly

It sounds like the wrong video driver is installed for this monitor. If you have an old "TV" style monitor (the big, heavy kind that took a man and three little boys to lift), I would try plugging that into the unit and try booting the CPU. If it boots correctly, go into the system configuration and install the driver for the Acer monitor so it will be recognized on bootup. Shut the unit down, switch monitors out and reboot.

Sounds like your PC is diplaying out of your monitors range. Try pressing f8 while booting up to get safe mode. then turn down the video resolution to display what your monitor can handle. Good Luck.

I have a cable not connected message on my screen even though I have all cables connected. I have a Acer X203H.

You might have a bad video card. Most of the new computers come with an "integrated" video card, meaning most of the components are 1 piece.

If you have another cable, try that, same with another monitor. Then if you are able, purchase a video card and test to see if that fixes the problem.

And if you have a warranty, this should be covered.

Power only comes on for about 2 seconds

Please ensure your input settings are set to the correct input cable used (i.e. VGA, DVI, etc). You will be able to change settings right on the monitor under the "menu" key.

Good Luck,

Problem with my lcd monitor where it won't show ... Optiquest Q22wb computer monitor won't come on - power button flashes green then off - power is...

The power supply in the monitor is probably broken. Take it to a repair shop or purchase a new one. LCD monitors have become very inexpensive these days.

I cant download the driver for the Acer X203H Monitor without Windows Vista... I dont have Vista

I see from the Acer web site what you are saying is true.....you might try just setting it up as plug and play monitor. Your current operating system should be able to assign a generic driver so it will function....just a thought.

Files appear too large on Acer monitor

If you just want to change the size of the font of the web pages you are visiting...all you have to do is hold down the CTRL key while tapping the + or the - key the will increase and decrease the font size.

To check the resolution just right click in an empty area of the desktop and scroll down to properties....you can play around with the resolution there....don't worry, you get 15 seconds to decide if you like the setting before it reverts back to the previous setting.
