Unfortunately the screen resolution that should be 1200x800 is not available for selecting (just 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 options)

Right click on the desktop of your laptop, you will see graphic properties, click it and make some adjustment that relates with the problem.

Take care

Ok, if you have tried it and it did not work, maybe you should do system restore so that your screen setting can be automatically put to its default state. I believe by so doing, the problem will be fixed. But before you carry out the system restore, keep your important files in an external drive or trusted flash drive safe, as the system restore will wipe them off.

    Best wishes.

go to the hp web site www.hp.com autoselect youer computer by typeing your modle into the support page then download the drivers for your video card for your computer, in fact do a complete update of your software, if you still have problems wirth your screen be sure to register your machine and then go to live help chat and get them to help you to reset screen resilution this will not cost you anything and will fix your problem. But if the video card has gone bad they would replace it for free. Not being able to do a live chat makes it harder for us to fix you system, as we are not allowed to log on to your computer to help you to adjust the screen but HPcan. Thanks for the rating you gave me.

May I ask why the low rating So I can get my performance up to help other customers so they don't rate so low? since I am not there it is harder to figure out these issues without more input and I did not receive a e-mail from your response or I would have tried to continue to help. Sorry to have failed you so badly. have a good year sir.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I want to re install xp but it says setup did not finf any harddi

It sounds to me like the reason your computer has crashed is because your hard drive has failed, or possibly that your boot sector is corrupted.
Try holding down the F8 key when you turn it on. A recovery screen should appear. A full factory reset will result in lost data. Just follow the instructions. If the screen doesn't appear, your hard drive is suspect.
